James Goodhart started Bon Coeur Fine Wines in 1994 aged 24. Now with over 21 years trading, the company is one of the UK’s leading independent wine merchants supplying wine to private households, corporates, events and leading hotels, restaurants and pubs throughout the UK.
Edwards Architecture were appointed by James Goodhart of Bon Coeur to convert a disused bus depot into a fine wine distribution, display, Teaching course and Sales area.
The use of the existing building presented a number of challenges and opportunities. Working with the client and through the use of cedar and pressed aluminium features, we believe that we have achieved a building that look new build with no resemblance to its former use other than some exposed steel as features.
The use of wine boxes as a feature up the stairs and the embossed tiling to the entrance created the setting and the quality.
